The Black River Tax Office in St. Elizabeth is closed for a second day after workers and taxpayers were evacuated yesterday, due to noxious fumes.

In a post on social media, Tax Administration Jamaica said today’s closure will facilitate further investigations and testing to determine what caused the fumes and chemical scent.

During the closure, customers are urged to use other tax offices or go online to conduct their business
