Bishop Dr. Herro Blair has been appointed the National Coordinator of the Government’s religious and faith-based organizations team to engage and coordinate relief efforts following Hurricane Melissa.

Minister of Culture, Olivia Grange, made the announcement during a special press briefing in Kingston yesterday.

Noting that the church has traditionally offered support during times of crises, Ms. Grange said it is essential to include this group in the nation’s relief and recovery efforts.
