The bill to amend the Pensions Public Service Act was passed in the Upper House yesterday.
Government Senator Dr. Dana Morris Dixon, who piloted the bill, noted that the legislation gives workers the option to retire before attaining the normal retirement age of 65 years.
She said this will apply to public officers born between August 1961 and February 1963.
