Bartlett says this winter season is the best yet
Tourism minister Edmund Bartlett has indicated that this winter season, which began late last year, is the best yet for the country, with record earnings for the sector.
In his sectoral debate presentation in parliament on Tuesday, Mr. Bartlett outlined that tourism has made significant contributions to Jamaica economy, especially in the Covid pandemic recovery process.
Mr. Bartlett said tourism’s foreign exchange earnings for last year, was $3.7 billion.
The minster added that the first quarter of this year has already exceeded expectations.
