Bahia Principe hotel worker killed in St. Ann crash today, identified
The Grand Bahia Principe hotel employee who was killed in a hit and run incident in the vicinity of the hotel, in Runaway Bay, St. Ann, this morning has been identified.
He is 40-year-old bartender Franz Johnson of Farm Heights, Montego Bay St. James.
Police report that the incident happened around 8:20 a-m.
Police say Johnson was walking along the side of the road towards the Bahia hotel, when he was hit by a grey Toyota Allion.
He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
This is the second employee of Grand Bahia to pass away in recent days.
On Saturday, 25-year-old chef Omaine Brown of Santa Maria Drive in Hopewell St. Ann, died from injuries he sustained from a crash in the same area.
Manager for External Relations at the Grand Bahia Principe Hotel Fabian Brown says the incidents are beyond unfortunate.
