Ayesha Curry makes publishing debut with Jamaican based novel

Ayesha Curry, who is of Jamaican descent, is expanding her empire to include publishing with the launch of Sweet July Books.

The first novel published under the imprint, Honeysuckle and Bone by Trisha Tobias, with a Jamaica-based storyline, tells the story of Carina, an 18-year-old who travels to Jamaica to become nanny for a wealthy family, only to uncover dark secrets and supernatural elements within their estate.

In a recent, joint interview on CBS, author Trisha Tobias shared that the novel was inspired by her mother, who was born and raised in Jamaica, who told her all kinds of duppy stories growing up.

Curry in the same interview, revealed that her Jamaican roots played a significant role in her decision to publish the novel.

She expressed the desire for “Honeysuckle and Bone” to help foster the love of reading in young adults, especially those who are drawn to deep, meaningful stories.

Honeysuckle and Bone is available at booksellers and online. It retails for USD $17.99 in hardcover and USD $12.34 in paperback on Amazon.
