Authorities investigating passing of a third person in lock-up within a week
The Independent Commission of Investigations and the police are investigating the passing of a third person in lock-up in the span of a week.
This, following the death of 45-year-old Patrick Perry of Long Bay, Portland after an incident at the Buff Bay police station yesterday.
Reports from the police are that officers on-duty heard a commotion in the lock-up.
When they went to investigate, Perry was reportedly found unresponsive.
He was taken to the hospital where he was admitted in serious condition.
Some time later, Perry succumbed to his injuries.
His death follows those of 59-year-old David Satchel and 68-year-old Donovan Phillips at the Half-Way-Tree police lock-up in St. Andrew, last week.
