The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) is set to mark a significant milestone in its ongoing mission to elevate local football standards with the official re-launch of its Coach Education Programme. The landmark event will take place on Wednesday, June 26, at the Jaguar Land Rover Showroom, 2 Arthur Wint Drive, Kingston, and signals a new era in coach development in Jamaica.
This re-launch comes shortly after the JFF received formal approval as a C-Level member of the Concacaf Coaching Convention, affirming the Federation’s adherence to internationally recognized standards in coach education and development.
The event will serve as a platform to:
- Highlight the milestones of the Coach Education Programme to date,
- Introduce a newly structured national coaching licensing system, and
- Outline the roadmap for progression to higher levels of Convention membership.
The initiative is part of the JFF’s broader strategic vision to create a unified, modern, and sustainable coaching framework across the island. The Federation is committed to ensuring that Jamaican coaches receive the highest quality training and development opportunities, ultimately enhancing the overall standard of football at all levels.
A key goal of the programme is to position Jamaica as a regional hub for coaching excellence by 2028, leveraging the country’s growing football pedigree and aligning with global best practices in coach education.
The re-launch promises to be a pivotal moment in the Federation’s journey toward long-term football development, and is expected to attract key stakeholders from across the football and sports development landscape.
It will be under the guidance of Andrew Peart who was appointed head of coaching education by the JFF in 2021.
