Capture Land, a short film inspired by the words of Nelson Mandela and reggae artiste Chronixx’s 2014 hit song of the same name, has left a lasting impact on its creator, Nabil Elderkin, and continues to inspire audiences 10 years after its release.
Earlier today, Elderkin shared a cameo from the film on Instagram, reigniting interest in the project and a repost from Chronixx.
In his caption, Elderkin reflected on the journey of creating Capture Land, he shared that it was a life-changing experience that introduced him to a diverse group of talented individuals, both in front of and behind the camera. He further shared that the short film opened doors for him and continues to build his career.
Filmed in the historic community of Port Royal, Kingston, Capture Land, tells the tale of a charismatic Rastafarian, his dreams of a pilgrimage to the holy land and his desire to leave behind his wayward past and pursue the purpose he feels his life needs.
