Minister of National Security Dr. Horace Chang has indicated that the adult found to be responsible for a 7-year-old child having a high-powered gun will be prosecuted.

The police reported that the child was found in possession of a sub-machine gun at a school today.

Dr Chang said based on preliminary reports the firearm was discovered inside a bag that the child had by a teacher.

Dr. Chang said investigators are seeking to determine who owns the bag.

He noted that because the child is a minor, he or she cannot be held criminally liable for gun possession.
