Dead is 26-year-old Romario Brown, a labourer from Belle Air, Runaway Bay.

Commanding Officer for the St. Ann Police Division, Superintendent Rohan Elliot said the incident occurred at approximately 3:45 A.M. at the Brown’s Town Police Station lock-up.

Superintendent Elliot told IRIE FM News that Brown was among two men who were reportedly trespassing on the police compound when he allegedly attacked an officer.

The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) is probing the matter.

Since the start of the year, 129 people have been fatally shot by members of the security forces.
