Twenty-two people have been fatally shot by members of the security forces since the start of the year.

Meantime, sections of Mountain View Avenue, which were blocked by residents protesting the fatal shooting of Eric Shakespeare have been cleared.

Residents, upset over the killing, had used burning debris to block the roadway.
