Hotline to be publicized to report water trucking issues and cronyism

A hotline is to be made public today, to allow citizens to report issues related to the trucking of water and cronyism.

This, after Prime Minister Andrew Holness indicated that government will be looking to prosecute persons found to be involved in corrupt water distribution practices.

Mr Holness noted that a reporting system was being set up at the National Water Commission, which will pass on reports to the Major Organized Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency, (MOCA).

Speaking at today’s Post Cabinet Press Briefing, Water Minister, Matthew Samuda said the hotline will facilitate reports from residents affected by water issues in Negril, Westmoreland, as well as other sections of the island.
