Reggae/Dancehall star Sizzla has received an official Proclamation for his contribution to music and culture.
On Thursday, during a ceremony in Florida, Jamaica’s Consul General to Miami, Oliver Mair, presented the accolade to Sizzla.
Several notable names in Reggae music were in attendance, including Marley brothers Stephen, Julian, Ky-Mani, and Damian, along with Stephen’s son Yohan Marley.
Dancehall star Cham, Anthony B, Nadine Sutherland, and selectors Foota Hype and Tony Matterhorn were also present.
To mark his 30-year milestone in music, a viral clip from the event shows Sizzla acknowledging the entertainers in attendance, while crediting Bob Marley, selectors, musicians, and key industry players for helping shape his success.
With a catalogue spanning over 30 years, more than 90 albums, and countless classics under his belt, Sizzla has cemented his place as one of Reggae’s most prolific and impactful artists.
