Over 500 motorcycles were seized by the Westmoreland Police last year.

Zone Commander for the Negril Region, Deputy Superintendent Shaunjaye Mitchell said the division recorded the highest number of motorcycle seizures in the country, for the period.

DSP Mitchell highlighted that in addition to the seizure of the vehicles, several traffic tickets were issued, for the same period.

As it relates to public sensitization, DSP Mitchell noted that in addition to enforcing the law, the police have implemented strategies aimed at ensuring that motorists abide by the road code.
