President of the Transport Operators Development Sustainable Services (TODSS), Egeton Newman, has urged the Transport Authority to refrain from chasing taxi drivers.

With 342 road fatalities reported so far this year, Mr. Newman emphasized that such actions cannot continue.

He stressed that the safety of passengers should take precedence over the arrest of delinquent drivers.

Mr. Newman’s comments come in the wake of a tragic incident this morning, in which two students from Lennon High School in Clarendon lost their lives and several others were injured in a motor vehicle crash.
