The Jamaica Basketball Association in conjunction with the Ministry of National Security,  will on Wednesday stage a one day mini basketball workshop for Prep and Primary school coaches and physical education teachers at the University of Technology . 

The aim of the work-shop is geared at teaching children ages 10-13 the skills and discipline required to participate in mini basketball, as well as introduction of the coaching methods to be used by the coaches in the execution of the sport.  

In addition, a sports psychologist from the University of Manitoba in Canada, will make a presentation that will focus on the tenets of competence , character, confidence and connection that can help to promote positive behavioral change in youth participating in sports. 

The workshop runs from 9 am to 2:30 pm .
