Former World no.1 T/20 bowler and two-time World Cup champion Samuel Badree, who has been appointed Assistant coach of the West Indies team for the white-ball leg of the South Africa tour, should join the team early next week.
That phase of the south Africa tour in which Badree will assist, consists of three ODI’s and three T20IS and promises to be quite a challenge for the touring Caribbean team.
Badree who expressed his delight at the appointment just recently returned from from Dubai where he was the assistant coach of the Dubai capitals in the ILT/20.
The white ball series bowls off on march 16 with the first One Day International in Buffalo, East London.
Meanwhile the west indies test team will now look ahead of the second and final test starting next Wednesday in Johannesburg, after losing the first test by 87 run to the South Africans inside of three days at Supersport Park at centurion yesterday.
