Jamaica will be among three Caribbean countries that stands to benefit from an implementation of several developmental programs arising out of a historic partnership agreement between the Americas Paralympic Committee (AMPC) and the Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean.

This was recently announced in Paris and the primary objectives of the partnership agreement are to build a strong cadre

Internationally certified classifiers, technical officials and coaches in designated sports, enhance the pool of athletic talent in those sports, design and customize an administrative model and infrastructure network of best.

Practices and to enhance policy-making.

The beneficiaries will be the National Paralympic Committees of the three countries including Jamaica, Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago.

This project will be the first intervention and will blueprint others that the AMPC and the bank will roll out in the future in eligible member countries of the AMPC.
