Atleast 4 killed, 6 wounded across Jamaica on Sunday
At least four people were killed and 6 others wounded in separate incidents across the country, on Sunday.
The incidents occurred in Kingston, Westmoreland and St. Elizabeth.
Dead are 37-year-old Rohan Esson of New Holland District, St. Elizabeth, 38-year-old Lashlaroo Shaw, otherwise called “Paye” and “Worm” of belfont, in St. James, 20-year-old Jahiem Walker and 20 year old Tajay Watson, both of Paradise Court, Kingston 12.
Shaw was killed in the latest incident in Bridgewater, Westmoreland.
The incident reportedly occurred at around 9:40 A.M.
Reports are that Shaw was among persons conducting cleaning up activities, following an illegal party when gunmen drove up and opened fire at them.
Shaw and 6 other people were wounded and taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead and the others admitted.
Minutes earlier, Watson and walker were killed in Trench Town, Kingston.
Reports are that at about 9:30am, the two men were on the compound of The Inner city for Christ Church, when they were pounced upon by gunmen, who opened fire hitting them.
They died at hospital.
And at about 5:30 A.M., Esson was killed in New Holland, St. Elizabeth.
Reports from the black river police are that about 10:00 P.M. on Saturday, Esson left to attend a party in the area but did not return home.
Further reports are that passers-by found Esson about 5:30 A.M., on Sunday and summoned the police.
On the arrival of the lawmen, Esson was seen lying along a dirt lane with what appeared to be gunshot wounds to his upper body.
He was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
These latest murders have pushed the toll since the start of the year, to 631.
