Former five time Jamaica Premier League champions Arnett Gardens will begin their quest to qualify for the Concacaf Caribbean Cup later this week.

The 2024 JPL third place finishers will face Aruban Club Racing United on Saturday in the round of 16 in the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Club Shield which will take place in Curacao.

The competition is scheduled to run from Thursday July 25 to August 4 and will qualify two teams to the Concacaf Caribbean Cup Tournament.

Arnett Gardens is among 15 participating teams….an increase of five from 2023….that led to a change of format this year.

The winners of the round of 16 encounters will advance to the quarter finals on July 30.

Quarter final winners will play in the semi finals on August 2 with the final set for August 4.

SV Robinhood of Suriname are the defending champions.
