Approximately 8,000 people to benefit from jobs arising from two major hotel developments in St. Ann
Approximately 8,000 people will benefit from jobs arising from two major hotel developments in St. Ann.
Senior Communications Strategist in the Tourism Ministry, Delano Seiveright says these projects highlight the government’s commitment to fostering investment, economic growth and benefits for Jamaicans.
Ground will be broken soon for the developments.
The first project involves the redesign of Jewel Paradise Cove in Runaway Bay, St. Ann after its acquisition by Germany’s TUI Global Hospitality Fund.
It will be rebranded as Royalton Chic Jamaica Paradise Cove, an adults-only all-inclusive resort set to open in late 2026.
The second project is a Secrets Resorts and Spa Hotel in Richmond, St.Ann.
This is a 715-room hotel, which will create approximately 1,600 jobs once operational.
Mr. Seiveright says these developments will have a ripple effect on St. Ann’s tourism economy.
