Some 12,500 land titles have been issued across the country since April 2021.

Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness made the revelation last evening, during a land titling ceremony in Norwood, St. James.

Seventy residents of that community received their legal land ownership documents.

During his address, Dr. Holness stressed the importance of having a land title.

He said the government continues to take steps to make the title acquisition process easier.

Meantime, he said the government is moving closer to issuing digital titles.
