The anticipation is high as Sumfest 2025 is here! The excitement is palpable, and the vibes electric.

Street Dance at Catherine Hall was a huge success, with a massive turnout. The event has doubled in size over the last three years, and it is clear that Street Dance is a staple in the week-long line up of events.  

The music was pumping, courtesy of Triple X, ZJ Liquid, Johnny Kool and Bishop Escobar, who kept the patrons entertained with their infectious beats. Performers Ace Gawd & Tashantayy brought the energy, ensuring that everyone had a blast. Sponsors also got in on the action, providing services free to patrons at the event.

As the festival gears up for its main nights, patrons are eagerly awaiting the performances of headliners Vybz Kartel and R&B songbird Toni Braxton. Kartel’s coronation as the King of Dancehall on Night One is sure to get the crowd moving, while Braxton’s smooth vocals will undoubtedly bring the house down.

Traffic into the second city has been minimal, with no delays reported so far. The release of the run order for all nights of the festival on the official Reggae Sumfest website has been a welcome move, giving fans an idea of when their favourite artists will be performing. This should also help alleviate traffic congestion on the main festival nights.
