Another large firearm seizure to wharf in Montego Bay
59 firearms were seized at the Freeport Wharf in Montego Bay, St. James, today.
This is the second major gun seizure at the wharf, in just over a week.
Last Friday, 20 guns and 50 rounds of ammunition were recovered.
Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the crime and security portfolio, Fitz Bailey, said the seizure was made by the Jamaica Constabulary Force, Customs Agency and international partners.
He noted that the police will not relent in their quest to prosecute persons involved in both seizures.
