An American dentist is being assessed at hospital, following a dramatic incident at the Sangster International Airport in Montego-Bay St. James, on Tuesday.

The incident was captured on video and has gone viral.

In the almost 3-minute-long video, the woman who was partially clothed, is seen wrestling with police officers and airport security personnel as they tried to restrain her.

Speaking with Irie Fm News, Senior Superintendent of Police in charge of ports, Wayne Cameron said the woman was escorted by the police to the Cornwall Regional Hospital for mental assessment.

Meantime, Senior Advisor and strategist in the Ministry of Tourism, Delano Seiveright said the woman’s family has been contacted.

He also commended the police for handling the situation as best as they could.
