Dancehall artiste Alkaline has prompted questions among fans following his performance at the World Creole Music Festival in Dominica, where he appeared wearing tubing resembling a nasal oxygen cannula.

The “Gal Good” deejay performed in a red jacket, with the clear tubing positioned across his face, along with his signature black eye look.

Images and video from the performance have since circulated on social media, with users debating the reason behind the unusual accessory.

While some have speculated that it could be related to a health issue, including asthma or fatigue, others believe the look may have been a deliberate style or promotional choice. Some have also drawn comparisons to the distinctive contact lenses Alkaline wore earlier in his career.

However, the reason for the medical-style tubing remains unclear.

Meanwhile, attempts by Music News to obtain a comment from the deejay’s management were unsuccessful, as calls went straight to voicemail.
