Alkaline honored in Boston for global impact
Alkaline’s sister and manager, Kereena Beckford, is expressing gratitude after her brother received an official citation in Boston for his achievements and global influence.
Over the weekend, during his performance at Caribbean Nights in Boston, Massachusetts, Senator Liz Miranda read the citation, thanking Alkaline for his “groundbreaking contribution to Jamaican music and culture.” She also highlighted his “global influence on the Dancehall genre” and his role in shaping the future of Caribbean music.
Kereena Beckford took to social media to thank Senator Liz Miranda for the official recognition of Alkaline’s musical achievements and worldwide impact.
Alkaline’s next stop is London, for his New Rules Festival at Wembley Arena on April 17.
