Dancehall artiste Alkaline sat down with BET UK for his first interview in more than 8 years.

During the interview, he opened up about his evolving musical style.

Social media was quick to point out he avoided mentioning fellow dancehall artiste Vybz Kartel in his answer. Fans were also quick to point out that he was donning his signature black eyes.

Alkaline is also known for hits such as 1, 2, 3 and Ocean Wave among others.

He recently returned to the UK with a sold-out performance at the OVO Wembley Arena.
