This, as the production of vegetables is expected to be impacted by current drought conditions.
The country is facing a meteorological, hydro-logical and agricultural drought, which is anticipated to continue until June.
Noting the impact the drought could have on farmers, Mr. Green said that in addition to the trucking of water to farmers in need, measures are being undertaken to increase the supply of items which could be impacted.
Mr. Green said however, that farmers are better prepared to deal with drought conditions now, than they were in the past.
