Agriculture Minister Floyd Green has called on St. Ann farmers to increase their production to boost commercial activities in the parish.

Speaking at a road opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony in Grants Bailey recently Mr. Green charged the farmers to use the road to improve their production level.

He referred to housing developments being constructed in areas of the parish such as Drax Hall, noting that their occupants will need food.

He said the ultimate goal is to also ensure food security.

Mr. Green also urged farmers to embrace the training provided by the Rural Agricultural Development Authority (RADA).
