Adult citizens are being urged to engage more with the youth, and guide them as to what is and isn’t appropriate behaviour.

This, in the wake of a viral social media video depicting a young girl being sexually and physically assaulted by a young boy, while several other boys in the room watched.

The boys have since been arrested and charged, while the girl is being counselled.

Speaking in parliament yesterday, Gender Minister Olivia Babsy Grange, said such behaviour is of great concern.

She noted that the youth also need to be guided on how to show respect for themselves.
