Administrative staff at University of Technology threatens to withdraw service over compensation issues
The University of Technology Administrative Staff Association (UTASA) says its members intend to withdraw their service tomorrow if today’s agreed timeline for an update on their compensation review is not honoured.
The group and the Finance and Education Ministries have been discussing the issue for some time.
However, the administrative staff has been restive in recent weeks over the delay in resolving the matter.
UTASA President, Jeanette Grayson told IRIE FM News that following a meeting last week, it was agreed that documentation would be handed over to the union today regarding staff’s compensation.
She indicates that if the day expires without that being done the staff will take action.
