Acting Fire Brigade Chief says new Annotto Bay station shows commitment to improving working conditions
Acting Commissioner of the Jamaica Fire Brigade Kevin Haughton says the newly upgraded Annotto Bay fire station in St. Mary, reflects the brigade’s commitment to improving working conditions and overall welfare of fire fighters.
He was speaking Thursday at the official opening ceremony for the station.
Haughton noted that the station is equipped with key amenities, aimed at enhancing the comfort and readiness of fire fighters, which in turn, will lead to improved service delivery to the public.
Meanwhile, Mayor of Port Maria Fitzroy Wilson described the opening of the fire station as timely, especially with the hurricane season now underway.
He noted that the upgraded facility will aid fire fighters in responding more efficiently to emergencies.
