Access has been restored to the Riley Bridge in Lucea, Hanover, which was blocked with burning debris by protesting residents early this morning.

IRIE FM News understands that the upset residents blocked the bridge in protest against the fatal shooting of a young man from their community.

The man was allegedly shot and killed in a shootout with the police.

Lawmen and members of the fire brigade responded to the protest and extinguished the blaze.
