PM Holness says not all investments made by Gov’t are for economic reasons

Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness has emphasised that not all investments made by the Government are for economic reasons.
Some are social investments, such as the Rural Water Supply Programme, for which the Government signed a loan agreement with the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) yesterday.
Dr. Holness noted that sometimes the economic cost for a project would result in the Government repaying the debt over several years.
He stressed that while the Rural Water Supply Programme is a social investment, its not free water.
