Cubans who arrived by boat in St. James on Monday charged with illegal entry

The Cubans who entered Jamaica illegally on Monday have been charged.  

The six  arrived by boat at Harvey Beach in Coral Gardens, Montego bay, St. James.

The police were alerted and took them into custody.

They were subsequently handed over to immigration authorities.

Director of Communication at the Passport, Immigration and Citizenship Agency (PICA) Kauna McKenzie says the Cubans are scheduled to appear in court soon.
