Residents of Cooper’s Pen, Trelawny say they are deeply concerned after they were allegedly given further notice to leave the area.
Several homes were demolished last week following an extended court battle with the owners of the land.
Some 40 families, including the elderly and children, were affected by the exercise.
The residents remain on the land and are living in tents provided by the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM).
A copy of a notice circulating on social media instructs residents to vacate the premises on or before today’s date.
This as the land owner intends to proceed with the clearing and securing of the premises.
Speaking with IRIE FM News this morning, one of the residents, Jazaine Mcknight claimed that the notice was placed on the roadside late last night.
Another resident Sylvia Fisher, says some of the residents plan to stage a protest over the situation.
She is calling on Prime Minister Andrew Holness to visit the community.
