Sean Paul Pays Tribute to Ras Ajai, Condemns Gun Violence Following Actor’s Death

International dancehall star Sean Paul has paid tribute to entertainer and actor Ras Ajai, who was fatally shot in Waterford, Portmore, St. Catherine, last Saturday.
Ras Ajai, known for his role as Claudie Massop in the film Bob Marley: One Love, was a member of Sean Paul’s Dutty Rock camp for more than six years.
Remembering the entertainer, Sean Paul described Ras Ajai as someone who was deeply committed to his craft and “put his all into creating his art.”
The Grammy-winning artiste also condemned Jamaica’s ongoing gun violence crisis, describing it as a “destructive loop” that continues to impact communities across the island.
Ras Ajai’s death has prompted an outpouring of tributes from members of Jamaica’s entertainment industry, who have remembered him for his talent, creativity, and contributions to music and film.
The police have launched an investigation into the shooting.
