BOJ Search Committee Says Governor Selection Process Ongoing

The Bank of Jamaica’s search committee for the new governor says the process is ongoing and that no recommendation has been made regarding a shortlist of possible candidates for the position.

The committee states that as it goes forward in the process, it will maintain the highest levels of transparency and integrity.

The committee also notes that its work is highly confidential and any announcement prior to the conclusion of the process is speculative and a disservice to all the candidates.

To this end, the committee says it will not comment on individual candidates.
