Industry Awaits November 16 as First Round Grammy Voting Closes

What comes next is the question on the minds of music lovers and industry insiders following the close of first-round voting for the 2027 Grammy Awards on Thursday.
According to the Recording Academy, ballots are now being tabulated by independent accounting firm Deloitte, with the official nominees set to be announced on November 16.
First-round voting determines the nominees across the Grammy categories.
Among those eagerly awaiting the results are Reggae and Dancehall fans, many of whom are hoping to see their favourite artists earn nominations.
Predictions are already circulating, with names such as Vybz Kartel, Masicka, Alkaline, Beenie Man, Buju Banton, Chronixx, Protoje, Capleton, Queen Ifrica and Runkus among the artists fans hope will make the final list.
