Health Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton has sought to defend the timelines for hospital projects being undertaken by the Government amid criticism from the Opposition.
Dr. Tufton was reacting to comments from Opposition Spokesman Dr. Alfred Dawes in the Lower House yesterday.
Dr. Dawes raised concern about the lack of details on timelines for project completion and costs following announcements that some hospitals are to be relocated or renovated.
The Health Minister indicated that some projects are on track for completion by next year.
As for costs, Dr. Tufton explained that while the Government has an overall estimate, it would be premature to give figures at this time.
