Jamaica’s senior men’s basketball team will be in action in late November, when they compete in the FIBA Ameri-Cup 2029 pre-qualifiers in Venezuela and Nicaragua.
Based on previous performances Jamaica have already been drafted into the second round of the qualifiers, where the Jam- Rockers will join the co-host Venezuela, Nicaragua, Cuba, Ecuador, costa Rica, Barbados and Antigua.
Jamaica enters this stage after being eliminated in the first round of the FIBA Basketball World cup 2027 Americas qualifiers.
The Jamaica Basketball Association have already secured commitments from professional players Tyran Latibeadiere and Drew Thelwell.
The team will be coached once again by Rick Turner.
