Amidst concern about children’s interaction with certain online content, a call is being made for them to have greater access to poetry.

Youth Minister, Senator, Dr. Dana Morris Dixon made the appeal during yesterday’s sitting of the Senate.

It followed a presentation by Poet Laureate of Jamaica, Professor Kwame Dawes.

Noting that negative influences bombard the nation’s youth, Dr. Morris Dixon stressed the importance of substantial literature.
