The crash involving the policeman is one of two recorded by PSTEB between yesterday and today.
The other incident occurred at about 1:40 a.m. yesterday along the Bernard Lodge Main Road in the vicinity of Quarry Hill in St. Catherine.
A 37-year-old man was killed in that crash.
Investigators theorise that an apparent error of judgment or negligence, loss of control as well as failure to keep to the near side or proper traffic lane, may have contributed to the crashes.
