A policeman died in a crash along Swansea Main Road in Clarendon this morning.

He has been identified as 32-year-old Constable Shavane Davy who was assigned to the Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch.

Police reports are that about 5:00 A.M., Davy was driving his motorcar along the Bustamante Highway when upon reaching the vicinity of Swansea he lost control of the vehicle which overturned into a ditch.

He sustained multiple injuries and was pronounced dead at hospital.
