Arrangements are being made for grief counselling sessions for staff and students of St. James high school, following the death of a teacher yesterday.
He has been identified as 46-year-old Sheldon Johnson, who worked as a computer repairs and technology teacher at the institution.
He also taught physics.
Principal, Joseph Williams, told IRIE FM News that Mr. Johnson left a meeting at the school and went to a gas station where its reported that he fell and hit his head.
Mr. Williams described Mr. Johnson as a reliable member of staff, saying the school was already wondering how it would manage in his absence as he was scheduled to go on leave in December.
He expressed that the school community has been shaken by Mr. Johnson’s passing.
