Ewing finally gets his NBA ring!
Jamaican born NBA legend Patrick Ewing, has received an honorary championship ring following the New York Knicks NBA championship victory on the weekend.
Ewing spent 15 of his 17 NBA seasons as the starting center for the Knicks after being selected first overall in the 1985 NBA draft.

The Jones Town native, rejoined the franchise as a basketball ambassador in October 2024 to work alongside team leadership and coaches.
Ewing remains the franchise’s all-time leader in total points, rebounds, and blocked shots
In 1994, Ewing led the Knicks to the championship series, where they ultimately lost to the Houston Rockets in a grueling seven games.
In 1999, the Knicks made a miraculous run to the Finals as the eighth seed, but Ewing was forced to sit on the sidelines and watch after suffering a torn Achilles in the Eastern Conference Finals.
New York ultimately lost to the San Antonio Spurs in five games.
