Jamaica Police Federation to wait a week to hear Finance Ministry’s response to outstanding wage issues
The Jamaica Police Federation will have to wait a week to hear the Finance Ministry’s response to outstanding wage issues.
The two parties met yesterday to continue wage talks for members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).
In a statement, the Ministry noted that while the meeting was substantive and productive, the parties agreed that further engagement is necessary to thoroughly and responsibly work through the outstanding issues.
The Ministry committed to analysing the substantial work of the JCF as embodied in the Technical Framework Agreement.
It said it will provide a response to the Federation on June 17.
