Reggae singer Tarrus Riley has expressed gratitude after June 5 was officially proclaimed “Tarrus Riley Day” by the City of Lauderdale Lakes.

The honour was presented during the Caribbean American Unity Fest, recognizing the internationally acclaimed artist for his significant contribution to reggae music and global Caribbean culture.

Tarrus Riley was highlighted as one of the leading ambassadors of modern reggae.

The celebration also saw the singer headlining the free community festival, where he performed alongside legendary Jamaican saxophonist Dean Fraser and other notable Caribbean acts.
