PNP Patriots says certification of Golding’s 2024 statutory declarations another demonstration of integrity
The People’s National Party Patriots says the certification of Opposition Leader Mark Golding’s 2024 statutory declarations by the Integrity Commission is another demonstration of the high standards of accountability, transparency, and integrity he has brought to public life.
The summary of the certified statutory declaration covers Mr. Golding’s income, assets and liabilities, and that of his spouse and children.
It was published in the Jamaica Gazette on May 26, and revealed that the Opposition Leader earned J$39.9 million dollars, a reduction from the J$70.7 million declared in 2023.
The document also noted that Mr. Golding declared a U.S. security income of US$299,000 for 2024.
In a statement this morning, the PNP Patriots said that at a time when public trust in institutions is under strain, Jamaicans deserve leaders who are prepared to subject themselves to scrutiny, and who understand that accountability is not an inconvenience, but a fundamental duty of public office.
General Secretary of the Patriots, Davalle Grant, said that the group notes with interest, Young Jamaica’s call about the status of Mr. Golding’s declaration, despite it being published since May 26, 2026.
Grant said the Patriots await a similar level of enthusiasm from Young Jamaica regarding the Prime Minister’s declarations.
