Teen boy charged for rape and house breaking in Portmore, St. Catherine
A 15-year-old boy has been charged with rape and housebreaking in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl in Portmore, St. Catherine earlier this year.
Reports from the Portmore police are that about 12:00 A.M. on January 1, the 13-year-old complainant returned home and discovered the boy inside her room.
She reportedly instructed him to leave, but he refused.
According to the police, he proceeded to hold her down and engaged in sexual intercourse with her against her will.
A report was later made to the police and an investigation was launched.
The teen was apprehended by the police on Thursday, May 14.
He was interviewed in the presence of his attorney and was later pointed out on an identification parade.
He is set to appear before the St. Catherine Children’s Court tomorrow May 18.
